Polished Brass Bowl Pipe Tomahawk

This smokable pipe hawk comes with a polished brass head and custom fitted handle and pipe bowl.

The combined pipe and tomahawk became a crucial diplomatic tool in Indigenous culture. European colonists presented pipe tomahawks as gifts during diplomatic agreements and treaty signings with tribes. Pipe tomahawks eventually became status symbols within the tribes. Leaders who received tomahawks when signing a treaty carried them with them throughout their lives. As a sign of prestige, pipe tomahawks were often held by Native American chiefs during photographs.

The Polished Brass head contrasts nicely with the dark wooden handle. This peace pipe is fully functional as a pipe (screen not included), but it should not be used for chopping wood or thrown, as the handle is hollow and likely to break.
